Twenty-three grant made in 2025
We were pleased to be able to make a further twenty-three grants totalling just over £59,000 in 2025 to support the community in the Christchurch area:
- A grant of £1,167.59 to the LIFE EDUCATION WESSEX for a new projector to enable them to provide their health and welfare workshops in Christchurch schools
- A grant of £2,000 to COUNSELLING TOGETHER to enable them to provide counselling for Christchurch residents
- A grant of £1,632.75 to PRAMALIFE to fund an innovative project to provide ‘grab-bags’ to selected Christchurch shops to assist when a fall or injury has taken place in the town
- A grant of £3,200 to CHRISTCHURCH & DISTRICT BAND to help fund the cost of travel to enable the band to take part in the town twinning at Arlen
- A grant of £2,000 to CHRISTCHURCH CARNIVAL 2025 to help fund this major annual Christchurch Community event
- A grant of £4,900 to MY TIME YOUNG CARERS to fund their Making Memories day for 253 young carers identified in Christchurch schools
- A grant of £1,288 to WIN ON WASTE to enable them to continue the provision of their waste collection service at Druitt Hall, Christchurch
- A grant of £2,500 to AUTISM UNLIMITED towards the fitting out of the mezzanine floor at Portfield School Sixth Form in Somerford as an Esports studio
- A grant of £3,000 to CHRISTCHURCH TOWN COUNCIL towards a community Beacon lighting event at Christchurch Quay to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of VE Day
- A grant of £5,000 to ACTIVATE PERFORMING ARTS towards their River of Hope event at Christchurch Quomps involving local schools and art installations
- A grant of £5,000 to the 10th CHRISTCHURCH (MUDEFORD) SEA SCOUTS towards improving their facilities for their group
- A grant of £1,200 to FRIENDS OF CHRISTCHURCH STATION for the provision of planters at the station to be maintained by volunteers
- A grant of £5,000 to CHRISTCHURCH MAGDALEN TRUST to support their Hardship Scheme, which makes cash funds available to the Christchurch Foodbank + and another local charity to assist individuals with hardship emergencies
- A grant of £738.57 to CHRISTCHURCH SUPPORT KABIN for items including a computer to assist in their provision for the homeless in Christchurch
- A grant of £3,674 to TWYNHAM CHURCH FOR THE COMMUNITY to purchase sports equipment and seating for their new hall to be made available for community use
- A grant of £4,200 to MOSAIC – SUPPORTING BEREAVED CHILDREN to fund counselling for 12 children/young people in the Christchurch area who have been affected by bereavement
- A grant of £2,085 to the CHRISTCHURCH COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP towards their ‘Soup’ event, where young people from schools and youth organisations in Christchurch pitch their projects for support
- A grant of £5,000 to HOME-START WESSEX to fund the provision of one to one support to five disadvantaged families with young children who live in the Christchurch area
- A grant of £1,000 to HELPFUL HOUNDS ASSISTANCE DOGS towards an assistance dog and staff training for a Christchurch School with children with special needs.
- A grant of £1,500 to PARK YOGA towards the cost of running free, weekly outdoor yoga sessions each Saturday for one hour over 20 weeks in a park in Christchurch
- We were again pleased to support the CHRISTCHURCH LIVING ADVENT CALENDAR, run by Christchurch Rotary, by supporting three of the events and making three grants:
- £1,000 to the Water Lily Project
- £1,000 to Julia’s House
- £1,000 to the Christchurch Support Kabin
