April 2020: First Grant Given to support the Corona Virus Scheme organised by the Hospital of St Mary Magdalen

Christchurch Charitable Trust, Community, Education, Environmental, Health, Heritage

27 April 2020

The Trust was pleased to make its first grant at the end of April 2020 with the payment of £10,000 to the Christchurch based charity, the Hospital of St Mary Magdalen, to put towards their innovative Corona Virus Scheme. Under this scheme, funds are provided to five local organisations who are dealing with individuals in need to enable them to make cash advances of up to £150 to those they believe are in urgent and genuine difficulty. The Trustees considered the scheme an excellent way of providing direct help to those in crisis in the Christchurch area as a result of the pandemic and the current lock down.
